What's a Fanlisting?
A Fanlisting is a listing of Fans. It's a place where all the fans of a certain subject come together from all over the world. As in have themselves listed on a website together with other fans of said subject. This is a fanlisting for the Polish Language. Learn more about fanlistings at theFanListings.org.
The Polish language
Polish is primarily spoken in Poland. (Duh!) It is one of the slavoic languages, that are mostly spoken in Eastern Europe and which also but not only include Czech, Russian and Bulgarian. Unlike Russian and Bulgarian Polish uses latin letters which is due to the influence of the catholic church on the west-slavoic languages (as opposed to the greek-orthodox influence on Bulgaria and Russia).
Why is this Fanlisting in English?
There is a quite simple reason for that: It's a rule. TFL.org rules say that of every fanlisting there has to exist an English version. Of course I could easily have made a Polish version as well. Well, I could if I actually knew the language well enough. But unfortunately, I don't, so if anyone feels like helping me with the translating you're more than welcome!
The layout
Version one sports an image of the Dom Kultury, the House of Culture in Warszawa. Picture found through fireball.de image search, altered with MS Paint, PSP7 and Corel Draw. Image map. Iframe. Div-layers. Coded in notepad.
